Franz Josef Glacier

View The Endless Summer on Aboleski's travel map.

We drove seven hours down the west coast to Franz Josef (a very LONG, winding coastal drive). We did a few hikes up to the faces of Franz Josef and Fox glaciers. These glaciers are the only ones in the world that end at a dense rainforest. It’s so unusual to see. After hiking, we soaked in hot glacier pools before ringing in the New Year at a local pub.
